I asked myself this question because, how is it that people don’t even get around to self-protection by detoxing their bodies? Even that thought doesn’t seem to occur to them.
By asking this question in English, I came across an interesting article.
“Learned helplessness is a psychological state in which an individual, after repeated exposure to uncontrollable negative events, believes that he or she is powerless to change their situation, even if opportunities to do so arise.
This leads to passivity, reduced motivation, and a sense of hopelessness, which can persist even if circumstances change and control becomes possible.
Learned helplessness is often associated with depression.
- Learned helplessness is a phenomenon that occurs when a series of negative outcomes or stressors leads someone to believe that life’s outcomes are beyond their control.
What Is Learned Helplessness?
Learned helplessness is a phenomenon in which repeated exposure to uncontrollable stressors leads people to use no method whatsoever to control their reaction to the stressors available to them in the future.
Essentially, it is said that those experiencing learned helplessness learn that they have no behavioral control over the events in their environment, which in turn undermines their motivation to make changes or attempt to change situations.
Overcoming Learned Helplessness
Focus on what you can control
Focusing on what you can control is a powerful way to combat learned helplessness. When you feel that everything is beyond your control, it is easy to give up and feel helpless.
But by shifting your focus to the things you can influence, you can begin to regain a sense of power over your life.
You have no control over the weather and the Chamtrails, but you can determine how you arm yourself and react to them.
Here are some things you can control:
- Your attitude: Choose to approach challenges with a positive, can-do mindset.
- Your effort: Determine how much time and energy you put into your goals.
- Your reaction: You cannot always control what happens to you, but you can control how you react to it.
- Your self-care: Prioritize taking care of your physical and mental health.
- Your relationships: Nurture the relationships that bring positivity into your life.
By focusing on these areas, you remind yourself that you have the power to influence your life, even in small ways.
This can help combat feelings of helplessness and give you the confidence to tackle greater challenges over time.
When individuals are exposed to situations where they can successfully navigate challenges, they develop a sense of mastery and control. This, in turn, helps them approach future obstacles with more confidence and determination.
By fostering learned hope through supportive environments and skill-building opportunities, individuals can break free from the cycle of learned helplessness and develop a more powerful, proactive approach to life.
This resilience can serve as a buffer against the negative effects of stress and adversity.
Learned Helplessness in Education
Learned helplessness is a common topic in the field of education. In particular, teachers are interested in how early academic failure or low academic self-esteem can influence later success and how the relationship can be influenced to increase the chances of success.

“Who can come up with useful examples?”
~ For me, the most useful example is the idyllic assumption that people in authority have your best interests at heart.
The problem is not just detoxing, taking optimal care of personal health by taking active steps. No, the biggest problem is doing nothing against this great injustice, this crime against humanity, allowing the powers that be to go about their business undisturbed. It is incomprehensible that this has been going on for a lifetime without raising your voice, without pointing a finger.
Take back your own authority, don’t be afraid of all the negativity, don’t be discouraged. Think about all the things you can do to process what comes your way. Above all, detox, both physically and mentally, because: “We are all part of the universe, and consider all the thoughts you send out and receive.”
